A social organization founded in 1952 for the purpose of welcoming people who have just moved to Glen Ellyn, the Glen Ellyn Newcomers Club provides a jam-packed calendar full of social activities and outings to suit every interests. This past weekend the Club celebrated Cinco De Mayo with none other than an adult prom. From hot pink leopard lined dresses to a vintage inspired 1950′s gown, the attire for the evening did not disappoint. We even had a couple that actually went to their high school prom together back in 1991. Of course, no prom would be complete without dancing, spiked drinks, and the crowning of the king and queen and their royal court! Music provided by TBM Productions DJ.

Beautiful Grace came into the studio and she was such pleasure to photograph. Her mother, Diana, is one of the most beautiful and amazing women – such a big and kind heart. Surrounded by such a warm and supported family, little Grace will no doubt be anything but loved. Thank you once again L family!

I had a very quickie session in studio with this 12 day old cutie. She came to me asleep but quickly became wide awake. After a little soothing she settled right back down. Isn’t she so precious? Enjoy a little teaser from her session.

My weekend could not have started out any better than a visit in studio from beautiful 7 day old Grace. Just as her name implies, she was absolutely the most graceful baby, sleeping the entire session – barely a single peep from her. A few weeks back I was on a mission to find some cool props for my sessions and without a doubt I knew exactly where to go to find that unique, one of a kind, “treasure” – Gather & Collect. Located in downtown Glen Ellyn, Gather & Collect is a photographer’s dream come true. It’s a store that really has a little bit of everything; suitcases, afghans, furniture, games, jewelry and many more. The cool thing is, everything is vintage! Drop by there sometime, and I promise you will not be disappointed.

Now, onto the cutest and happiest 18 month old ever – Fred! Seriously, isn’t he so cute? Fred will be a big brother come September and I can’t wait to meet the little bundle of joy.

I love newborns. So how lucky am I that I get to photograph them. Last month, I had an amazing time at a newborn workshop. Here is an image from the workshop. I don’t think I could ever try this pose on my own, or at least not yet, but it’s a great one nonetheless.

Ethan has been taking guitar lessons for a little over a year now. This year we decided to sign him up with a private tutor rather than a group setting. He has blown me away with his passion and enthusiasm. One of the many joys of parenthood is experiencing and observing our children as they navigate through a myriad of activities and to come across something that you know is magic from the very beginning. I took this quick picture of him while practicing yesterday. I love this boy!
