and there was light… | atlanta headshots photographer

Light is what makes it all happen, without it, there are no pictures. As with most photographers it is something I try to master, but rather than becoming more comfortable with it, I was becoming more and more frustrated with my lighting situation. I was tired of being in the dark, so I decided to take a one day, OneLight Workshop by Zach Arias. One word, AMAZING!!!

After the early morning classroom time, we had models come then headed out into the frigid temps for some shooting fun. Here are some images I was able to capture…

vivian | sugar hill maternity photographer

About 35 weeks along and still so full of energy and just glowing. When I was this far along with my boys all I wanted to do was SLEEP – not Vivian. She is still going and going – keeping up with a 3 year old, a dog and maintaining a meticulous house, oh to have just half her energy.

sahana | celebrating one year | alpharetta events photographer

I had the wonderful joy of attending a celebration for 1 year old Sahana last Saturday evening. When Manu contacted me a few weeks back to inquire about my services for his daughter’s 1st birthday party, I knew it was going to be exciting. But the actual event blew my mind. As many of you know I love to throw huge birthday parties for my little guys, but this one was a PAR-TAY! Complete with a DJ, magician, dancing, dancing and more dancing.

Not only did I enjoy the whole atmosphere of the night, but what I really appreciated was having the opportunity to be part of a celebration of another culture. The women were beautiful in their Sarees and the feeling of community and family was touching.

We had about 15 minutes to take pictures of the family before the guests arrived. Meet sweet and beautiful Sahana…
